Vinod Sridhar extends giant-killing spree
Wild-card Vinod Sridhar is turning out to be the giant-killer at the Futures Tennis Circuit at the South Club. After upsetting fifth seed Niko Karagiannis of Greece in the second round, he beat third seed Patrick Erhardt of Germany in one hour 55 minutes in the quarter-final.

Depleted Bagan lay Sporting in a shambles
Mohun Bagan, virtually playing with their bench strength, defeated Mohammedan Sporting 2-0 in a Group B IFA Shield quarter-final league match at the Salt Lake Stadium here today. Nazimul Haque, who rarely starts in the regular Bagan line-up and Nigerian Chima Okerie got the goals for Bagan.
