This was proved beyond doubt by Olympian Rajinder Singh as Punjab and Sind Bank (Delhi) scored a lucky win by an aggregate 7-6 margin in tie-breaker in the semifinal of the 15th Indian Oil Surjit Memorial hockey tournament today. Tied at four all in the tie-breaker session, Rajinder Singh pushed his stroke with a lot of power. Punjab Police goalkeeper Surjit Singh senior stopped it with his palm but the ball rolled over the goalie.

Syed Fazaluddin fought hard today and even looked like causing an upset, but poor temperament in the tie-breaker and a couple of bad service games in the second set did him in semis in Futures Tennis today.
