Talbott talking
Well, now at last we have an idea of what Jaswant Singh and Strobe Talbott have been telling each other and where they will pick up the threads when they meet for the seventh round of talks in Rome later this month. No, the information does not come, as one would have wished, from official Indian sources.

Catch mice, stupid
The Prime Minister has held out several lollipops to NRIs and overseas Indians by way of initiatives on dual citizenship and persons of Indian origin cards. Inasmuch as this constitutes efforts to remove needless bureaucratic harassment of NRIs, and an acknowledgment that the mere fact of their relocation does not make them alien, good.

Not even Abdulla
In the early Sixties a cigarette named Abdulla appeared in New Delhi, and since it had done well in the USA the more fashionable Delhiites didn't hesitate to try it out. I lit one too. It tasted like hay. But for years Abdulla continued to smoulder between smokers' lips.
