NEW DELHI, Nov 17: Former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao suffered a temporary loss of speech and experienced weakness on one side of the body -- a condition known in medicalese as a transient ischaemic attack -- last Thursday, reason why he is admitted at the neurological ward of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).Rao is believed to have recovered from the attack, which doctors regard as a warning signal of an impending stroke or brain attack. He is under observation and may leave for the US for treatment. A diabetic who has had a coronary bypass surgery, Rao is vulnerable to events like the attack on Thursday.
