All-rounders Rajat Bhandari and Vikramjit Sodhi were the star performers for the winners. In fact the two were carrying excellent individual performances in the final and were the ones around whom the side's fortunes were built.

Rajat Bhandari made 26 runs and then captured two wickets while Vikramjit scored 22 and then came up with a match-winning haul of five for 22.

Chasing GMSSS-35 total of 141 for 8 in 25 overs, the DAV lads were able to muster only 128 for 9 in the allotted overs. Rajat captured 11 wickets in the tournament besides scoring 88 runs for his team while Vikramjit took nine wickets and contributed 119 runs to the team's tally.
