Sugar imports from Pak to tilt trade balance

Charges framed against Rao's son, 7 others
The special court trying the Rs 133 crore urea scam case today framed charges against eight accused including former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao's kin Sanjeeva Rao. Gupta also directed the CBI to file a status report within two months if any material evidence was there to proceed against Narasimha Rao's son Prabhakar Rao.

Sharif for Taliban-like laws
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said he wants to impose a ``Taliban-like'' system of justice in Pakistan which he said will weed out crime and ensure speedy justice. Sharif also reiterated his desire to enforce the Islamic system of justice by introducing public hangings and punishments.
