VADODARA, Nov 18: The British Deputy High Commissioner for Western Region, Michael Bates OBE, leading a Commercial team from the British Deputy High Commission, Mumbai, will visit Vadodara on November 19 and 20. The visit is aimed at exploring the possibilities of increasing Indo-British trade relations in the region.The team will also be accompanied by members of other British institutions and private sector companies.
A British Industry Catalogue Exhibition, focussing on Chemicals, Plastics and Process Equipment, will be held at the Federation of Gujarat Industries to coincide with the visit. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Bates on November 19 at 1.30 pm. The same evening, Bates will address a meeting organised by the FGI.
Director, Western Region, British Council Division, Robert Frost and representatives from the Scottish Trade International and the private sector including General Accident, British Gas and Hongkong Bank will also speak on the occasion.
In Vadodara, Bates will also call on individual companies, while the commercial team will call on Vadodara-based companies across a range of sectors, including oil and gas, power, machine tools, automotive, packaging, health care, chemicals, plastics, electronics, ports, construction, environment and textiles.
