Patha scored 121 (82 balls; 15 fours, one six) while the southpaw Yuvraj hammered 118 (66 balls; nine fours, eight sixes).

Patha and Vaneet Chawla gave Godrej Club a flying start, adding 109 runs for the first wicket in only 14 overs.

That Godrej Club amassed a huge total of 302 runs in the stipulated 35 overs was due to the berserk batting-display by Yuvraj. Balls kept flying out as he struck eight huge sixes. Gymkhana XI were up against a Herculean task but started well. Former Punjab skipper Krishan Mohan (49) and Harjit Bobby (54) went after the Godrej bowlers but it was always going to be a matter of time before the required run-rate surmounted.

Godrej left-arm spinners Arun Tuli (3 for 18) and Girish Bhanot (3 for 24) picked up the spoils as Gymkhana XI were allout for 143.

Arun Tuli was declared the best all rounder, Rajesh Patha the best batsman and Vinod Binta was the best bowler.

SBP won the toss and invited PSEB to bat. They scored 193 in the allotted 30 overs. Lakhbir (47), Sanjiv (36) and Chander Shekhar (28) were the main scorers for the team.

In reply, SBP got the winning total in 29th over, losing nine wickets.Suraj's 73 runs of 63 balls greatly contributed to the team's victory in the match today.
