Masurekar through: Father Agnel's Sagar Masurekar (u-16), Sagar Sadavarte (u-14) and Navi Mumbai's Gaurav Hingne (u-12) won their top board matches in the Junior Chess Tournament organised by the Bombay Chess Association at Zandu Pharmaceuticals Canteen, Sayani Road to select 48 players for the one year coaching camp. In a major upset under-10 top seed Ishan Nadkarni lost to Harshal Khobragade of RCF School, Alibag.
Prasanna Iyer, Sagar Redkar and Milind Nevgi were among today's winners in the u-16 group while Milind Ketakar, Niral Sanghavi, Girdhar Adhikar, Rohit Yarmal and Parag Terwadkar scored in u-14.
At the end of the u-10 third round, Khobragade, Akshay Deshmukh, Vishal Shah and Ninad Puranik jointly lead with three points each.
