Thane resident injured in stone throwing
Express News Service
NOVEMBER 23: A Thane resident became the 43rd victim of stone pelting on local trains on Sunday night. Tanaji Rajaram Dhanawade (25), who was travelling to Mulund, was injured on the shoulder when he was hit by a stone hurled at the local between Kanjurmarg and Bhandup at 8 pm. He was admitted to Aditya Nursing Home in Mulund last night, but was shifted to the Mulund General Hospital after he complained of intense pain. A case has been lodged with the Kurla railway police. Sources claim that the demolition of slums in the area had caused a lot of heartburn among the residents recently.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
