CHANDIGARH, Nov 23: Catwalking by "bubbly two to naughty 12" during a fashion show being organised by a fashion designing institute on November 25, was challenged in a City court by a social organisation here today. In a civil suit for declaring the fashion show "illegal, depicting the children in an indecent and a derogatory manner," the plaintiff, Yuvsatta Sangathan, also sought directions for restraining the defendants from organising it.
Taking up the suit, UT Civil Judge (Junior Division) Jasbir Singh issued notice to the defendants for November 25.
Meanwhile, the plaintiff stated that the show for minors would corrupt the innocent minds, besides "injuring their morality".
Claiming that it would waste precious study time, the counsel for the plaintiff also stated that the children would be allured to "spend much of their time on such an unnecessary evil".
Alleging money-making to be the motive behind organising such shows, the counsel also stated that the parents had to pay impressive participation fee, besides spending money on dresses.
The counsel also stated that an irreparable loss would be caused to the general public if the defendants were not restrained from holding the show.
He also claimed that "there was great deal of indecent exposure and nudity" during the fashion shows being organised in the City.
