England face daunting prospect
England's cricketers face the daunting prospect of batting through the final day to get something out of the first Ashes Test after Glenn McGrath and Michael Slater put Australia in a commanding position. Australian captain Mark Taylor sent England in to bat just before the close when he declared australia's second innings at 237 for three. Set a challenging 348 to win after trailing by 110 on the first innings, England were 26 without loss at stumps.

PSB-BSF final
Punjab and Sind Bank will take on Border Security Force in the final of the ONGC-Nehru Senior Hockey tournament at the National Stadium in Delhi tomorrow. In the semi-finals, BSF downed SAIL 3-1 while IHF Blues fought back well to streatch PSB, the eventual winner into tiebreak. PSB won 4-3.
