CHANDIGARH, Nov 23: Bara Singh of Hi-Tech Agriculture Branch, Ludhiana was awarded the best athlete award in the Punjab and Sind Bank Inter-Zone sport meet held yesterday at Government College for Men, Sector 11.Bara Singh got first positions in 100 and 200 metres events.

Gymnastic team
A 10-member Indian team will compete in the Grasp International Gymnastic Tournament to be held in Gloucester from December 5 to 10. According to P S Virk, general secretary of the Gymnastic Federation of India, the team was selected during the trials held in Patiala.
Team: Vikas Pandey, Mayank Srivastava, Gaurav Shah, Rohit Yadav, Mohinder Singh Deo (all UP).
Girls: Anuradha Binde (Maharashtra), Sukhbir Kaur (Punjab), Neha Guhad (Maharashtra), Rohika (Punjab).
