Advani seeks Sharma's report from CBI chief
Concerned at the slow pace of investigations into the Romesh Sharma case, Union Home Minister L K Advani has asked Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) director Trinath Mishra to submit the first progress report in the next few days.
40% foreign stake allowed in insurance
The Union cabinet on Monday cleared the way for a Bill to allow foreign insurance companies to take a 26% stake in new insurance ventures in India. It also allowed FIIs to pick-up an additional 14% in these new companies.
Goa CM, Governor differ over session
Goa Chief Minister Wilfred D'Souza has stated that the Legislative Assembly session will not be advanced and will be held on December 2 as per schedule. And on December 2, his Government is ready to prove strength on the floor of the house.
