Stolen cheque encashed
Manoj Pandey and Rajesh Behl, of IPSA Leasing and Marketing Services Limited, Sector 26, complained to the police that someone stole a cheque of Bank of Madura and later encashed it from the company account. The police have registered a case of theft, cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy.Constable booked
The City police have booked Charan Singh Bist, a constable of the CRPF, for trespass on the basis of a complaint made by Karam Chand, headmaster of the Government High School, Sector 38.
Cash stolen
R K Vohra, a Sector 22 resident, complained to the police that someone stole Rs 31,000 cash and a cheque book from his scooter parked in Sector 19. A case has been registered.
Liquor recovered
Raj Kumar alias Raju, a Sector 40 resident, was arrested from Sector 22 and eight bottles of whisky reportedly recovered from his possession.
Two hit by bus
Jai Dayal and Puran Singh, employees of the Haryana Secretariat in Sector 17, were reportedly hit by a Punjab Roadways bus driven by Jagtar Singh, a resident of Ferozepur in Sector 26. The police have registered a case and arrested the driver.
