Sharma had issued a statement amounting to indictment of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists who had allegedly assaulted delegates of a Christian convention in a school in Fatehgunj recently.

Sharma has been posted as in-charge of the Vadodara Airport Security in place of S G Chaudhary who has been shifted to Navapura police station. PI of Navapura police station G R Vaghela has been transferred to Modus Operandi Branch in place of D N Mishra who goes to Fatehgunj police station.
