BHUBANESWAR, Dec 2: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik today revoked the suspension orders slapped on rebel leader Bijoy Mohapatra and two MPs and expulsion of five MLAs paving the way for a patch-up in the fractured outfit, party sources said. The breakthrough was achieved after continuous parleys spanning two weeks though the party's legislature wing was split into two during the day with Orissa Assembly Speaker Chintamani Dyansamantara recognising them as BJD(A) and BJD(B) led by two different leaders.
Naveen Patnaik issued three separate letters revoking the suspension of Mohapatra, two MPs -- Tathagat Satpathy and Prabhat Samantaray, and revoking the expulsion of five legislators -- Bijoyshree Routray, Bishnu Das, Surya Narayan Patra, Kalpataru Das and Prabhat Tripathy.
The rebel party leaders confirmed that they had received the letters. BJD sources said since the disciplinary action against the MLAs had been lifted, all the 27 party MLAs would meet soon to elect a leader of thelegislature party.
