35 deputy mamlatdars transferred
As many as 35 Dy mamlatdars were transferred in inter-department transfers in the District Collectorate on Wednesday. District Collector Anil Mukim told Express Newsline that the transfers were a routine move. He added that the flood control room had been abandoned till the next season.

Car rally
The Southern leg of the nation-wide car rally organised by the National Defence Academy (NDA) as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, will arrive from Mumbai at the Eugene Stadium, EME School on Thursday at 4.30 pm. The team will stay in the city upto December 6 and visit NCC units, the Navrachana Senior Secondary School, Vallabhram Mehta Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (Harni), EME School and Air Force Station, Makarpura. The team will be flagged off on December 6 from the EME School at 10 am.

Dance dramas
Tickets for the December 4 performance of the dance dramas `Manushya' and `Nataraja Vandanam' by Mrinalini and Mallika Sarabhai along with the Darpana Dance Academy troupe, Ahmedabad, will be available at The Shoppe (Alkapuri), Archies, Fridge Temp and the V-One Society (Fatehgunj). The programme has been organised in aid of the disabled beneficiaries of V-One Society at the Gandhi Nagar Gruh at 7 pm.

Stir postponed
The indefinite strike announced by Group C and D cadres of the Vadodara Department of Telecom's three federations -- NFTE, FNTO, BTEF -- from December 2 midnight has been postponed till further notice. Federation leaders announced late Monday night that the government had accepted a majority of their demands.
