Two persons missing
An 18-year-old girl has been missing from the Lal Darwaja area of the city since November 25, the police said. The girl's parents reported the matter to the Mahidharpura police on Wednesday stating that Jyoti Natwarbhai Soni, a resident of a slum beside Natraj Cinema, left home to buy groceries and had not returned since. The parents informed the police that the girl was wearing a yellow dress and besides being dark and thin, was five feet and three inches tall. The Mahidharpura police also stated that 25-year-old Sabera Ghorpade, who sold stationery items at the Railway station, was missing since November 16. The Mahidharpura police have asked persons having information about the two to contact the nearest police station or the city police control room.

Body found
The Rander police on Wednesday recovered the body of an unidentified man in the city. The man, aged between 35 and 40, was found on the road opposite Welcome Tower. The body has been sent to the New Civil hospital and a case under CrPC 174 has been registered at the police station.

Cash stolen
Cash of Rs 55,100 was stolen in a case of house-breaking registered in the Salabatpura police station. Mohan Pillai of the Jaipur Golden Transport Company lodged a complaint in the police station stating that the shutter of the transport office was broken by miscreants, who decamped with cash of Rs 55,100. A case under section 454, 457 and 380 of the IPC has been registered in the police station.

Hit-and-run
A person crossing the Rajmarg on the Station Chowk road was killed when he was hit by a speeding vehicle during the early hours of Wednesday, the police said. According to the police, one Prahladbhai, who worked at a tea stall, was killed on the spot when he was hit by a Tatamobile Van (GJ 5 A 9226) opposite Krishna Cinema near station. The driver then fled the scene, an eyewitness, Dinesh Shah told the police in his complaint.
