Petrol pump sealed
Weights and measure officer N M Rathore sealed a co-operative society-run petrol pump in Kim for selling less quantity of diesel and petrol. During a surprise check carried out on Friday, the officers found that for each 5 litre, the customer was getting 75 ml less petrol.

Workshop
A workshop has been organised jointly by the cottage industry commissioner, the district industry centre and the Bank of Baroda on December 11 to review Surat district's performance in implementing the Prime Minister's Rojgar Yojna. While the workshop will be held at 10.30 am at the South Gujarat Labour Institute, near the railway station, Cottage Industry commissioner S C Snehi will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Polio drive
Water Resource Minister Narottam Patel inaugurated the pulse polio programme at a primary school by administering two drops of polio dose to a child. By 4 pm, 2,23,103 children had been given polio doses in 1768 centres of the district.

Lok adalat
Vadodara: Thirty-three cases related to motor accident claims were settled at the 214th Lok Adalat held in the premises of the Nyay Mandir here on Sunday, according to Baroda Bar Association president Narendra Tiwari. He said that as many as 98 cases had come up before the reconciliation boards but parties turned up only in 45 cases. However, only 33 cases could be solved because parties did not agree in remaining cases. The Lok Adalat was inaugurated by Additional District Judge R M Parmar, while a total Rs 37.38 lakh was paid as compensation.
