Tributes paid to Ambedkar

SHIMLA, Dec 6: Rich tributes were paid to B S Ambedkar on his 42th death anniversary here today even as Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Health Minister J P Nadda visited Ambedkar Chowk here today to pay tributes to Ambedkar at his statue.The Ambedkar Mission Society, organised a separate function at Valmiki Mandir, Krishnagar under the chairmanship of Brij Mohan Kalyanpuri and adopted a resolution asking for suitable land for construction of an Ambedkar Bhawan in Shimla. The society urged the CM to intervene in transfer of land and urged the government to make improvements at Ambedkar Chowk and establish an Ambedkar Chair at HP University.
