BANGKOK, Dec 7:India'S Kamla Rawat came up with a good display but could not make it to the medal round and eventually finished fifth in the women's 48 kg and under class of the Asian Games judo competition today.Kamla began without promise by going down to Soon Young So of South Korea, losing by an ippon in one minute and five seconds.
But she showed her resilience by winning both her repechage bouts, beating Kim-vui Nguyen of Vietnam and Shu-Chen of Taipei, to qualify for the bouts to determine the third to fifth places.
However, she went out of medal reckoning when she lost to N Tangprapassorn of Thailand to eventually finish fifth.
