Haryana XI prevail over CR

PATIALA, Dec 7: It was a bad day for the Army teams on the second day of the 23rd Liberals All-India hockey tournament in progress at Nabha today as AOC Secundrabad, BEG Roorkee and Assam Regiment made their exit.

AOC lost to Thapar Academy Sansarpur (6-5) in tie-breaker and BEG were out-stroked by NYC Bhopal (5-4) and Haryana XI prevailed 2-1 over Assam Regiment. In the last match, SRC Ramgarh crushed Central Railway Bhopal 3-1.

Punjab TT
State Bank of Patiala will clash with Punjab State Electricity Board in the final of the 39th Punjab State Open and Inter-District table tennis championship (men). Patiala, meanwhile won team titles in the sub-junior boys and girls sections (under-12) while Jalandhar won the sub-junior boys (under-12) title.

Results: Men: SBP bt Amritsar 3-2, PSEB bt Jalandhar 3-0. Cadet boys (SF): Patiala bt Ropar 3-2, Amritsar bt Jalandhar 3-1. Cadet girl's (final): Patiala bt Faridkot 3-1. Sub-jr boys: Jalandhar bt Patiala 3-1.

Fencing probables
The Punjab fencing probables for the Junior National fencing (Guwahati from December 267) have been announced. The camp will be held at Polo Ground here from December 10 to 22.
