VADODARA, Dec 8: The Vadodara district administration and the Central Control Room will organise a simulation drill -- as distinct from a mock drill -- within the month of December in the thickly populated villages around the petrochemicals complex.
While withholding details, District Collector Anil Mukim and CCR member-secretary B S Chadha said 10 tonnes of coloured smoke would be exploded or leaked from a chemical industry in simulation of an actual disaster. A drill thereafter would test the preparedness of the official and private agencies, none of which would be informed about its simulated nature.
