Drive against Kalp Yojna

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Dec 8: Teachers and students of the M S University have organised a signature campaign to elucidate their stand over the Kalp Yojna, which seeks to stir a hornets' nest between communities in Uttar Pradesh.

About 24 teachers and students have already signed expressing their resentment against the Union government's move to capitalise on implementing the Saraswati Vandana and Vande Mataram as the prayers in schools.

One of the teachers of the MSU stated that both Saraswati Vandana and Vande Mataram had a special place in the national life.

The teacher also said, ``Since both the Vandana and the Vande Mataram had a special place there was no reason to transform it into instruments of coercion and use to divide the people instead of bringing them together''.
