Two bodies recovered
The Rander and Athwa Lines police on Tuesday recovered dead bodies of two persons from different part of the city. One Rambudh Pandit, working as a watchman of Shabnam Society, was found dead in his room in the society on Tuesday morning. Residents of the Society told the Rander police that the 55-year-old man was feeling unwell for the past two days. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered. In another case registered at the Athwa Lines police station, an unidentified 60-year-old man was found dead on the pavement outside Gandhi Baug in Chowk area. The person had presumably died of cold, the Athwa Lines police said. A case has been registered.

Shop looted
Three unidentified armed people barged into a grocer's shop, located in the Gandhinagar-I area of Limbayat, late on Monday night and after threatening the owner, took away Rs 9000 in cash, a case registered in the Limbayat police station on Tuesday said. Punaram Chaudhary, the owner of Himalaya Stores, complained to the police that all the three accused were armed with knives and took away cash from his pocket and the cash box before escaping. The police have registered a case under IPC 452, 392 and 114 and are investigating.

Wires stolen
Gujarat Electricity Board's wires worth Rs 45,000 were stolen between December 2 and 7 from the GEB Rander (rural division) premises, company officials complained to the Ichhapore police on Tuesday. The wires were to be laid between Ichhapore and Bhesan villages. A case has been registered under section 379 of the IPC and the police are investigating.

Vehicle stolen
A motorcycle (GJ 5 K 8657), belonging to Manish Gotawala was stolen from the Sagrampura area of the city, the police said. Gotawala complained to the Athwa Lines police that he had parked his vehicle in front of his house located at 2/4676, Thoba Sheri in Sagrampura at around 11 pm on Monday but found it missing on Tuesday morning.
