BCCI proposal on Vizzy Trophy

NEW DELHI, December 8: There is a proposal to adopt the inter-zonal Rohinton Baria Trophy and to make it a permanent feature of the BCCI's annual calendar of events.

The subject is likely to come up before the Vizzy Trophy committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India here tomorrow.

C K Khanna, a vice-president of the Board, has proposed that a combined university team should be selected and fielded against touring teams to give the youngsters more international exposure.

The Vizzy Trophy committee members are likely to discuss condition of play field and the kind of wickets for the Vizzy Trophy and estimated budget for organising the tournament.

Blue Bells win
Blue Bells School (Lajpat Nagar) triumphed over NGFS by three wickets in the S Harbans Singh Sistani memorial tournament at SS Khalsa School ground. Nishant Mongia claimed 3 for 20 for winners while Sanjeev Kumar 4 for 18 for losers.
