Smart's works on display

SURAT, Dec 9: An exhibition of paintings by noted painter of the city, Jagdeep Smart will be held in the city from Thursday. The exhibition of paintings will be held at the Dr Mina Shah Rotary Art Gallery in Nanpura from December 10 to 15.A masters degree holder from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M S University, Vadodara, Smart's paintings vary from the landscapes of a city in black and white to more serious social themes in colour. Over the years, the 42-year old painter has developed his own style of painting using the `sutradhar', the curtain, the tiger and puppets as central figures.
