AMU under no threat: PM

New Delhi, December 13: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee said here on Sunday that there was no threat to the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). He told a delegation of the AMU action committee that peace and normalcy must be restored on campus.In a memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister, the action committee demanded a CBI probe into the functioning of the university and the removal of Vice-Chancellor Mohmudur Rahman. According to the memorandum, the student community and the staff had lost confidence in the V-C. The fast unto death of two AMU medical students in the Capital entered its thirteenth day today.
