Accountant murdered in Narela, wife is a witness
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, December 14: An accountant was shot dead by three unidentified men on the Narela railway track this morning even as his shocked wife stood mute witness to the murder.Swatantrata Nagar resident Jai Bhagwan Parashar (32) worked as an accountant with a private firm. At around 10.15 a.m. today, Parashar and his wife Savitri had jumped on to the railway track at Narela in order to cross over to the other side. It was at this point that three men rushed upto them from the opposite direction and shot Parashar in the chest and face. His wife was not shot at. As she bent over to tend to her seriously-wounded husband, the assailants managed to make a quick getaway. Parashar was rushed to the Bara Hindu Rao Hospital, but died on the way. According to Savitri, her husband and his two brothers had got into a fight with one Rajiv in August this year. Rajiv was allegedly harassing one of the women in their family, for which they beat him up. A case was registered against the three Parashar brothers under Section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They were arrested and later released on bail. While Rajiv was not present at the spot today, the wife suspects his hand behind the murder. A case has been registered under Section 302 (murder) IPC.
