VADODARA, Dec 14: More than 100 children were registered at a free screening camp for those suffering from heart diseases at Bhailal Amin Hospital here on Sunday.The camp was jointly organised by the hospital, Madras Medical Mission and the Vadodara branch of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics. Hospital Senior Cardiac Surgeon Mahendra Nathdwarawala said in a press note that while the camp included free consultation, refreshments and gift packets were also given to the patients.
Stating that the cases comprised simple to complex cardiac defects, Dr Nathadwarawala said cases were evaluated and further management discussed at the camp. Many of these patients could now avail non-surgical interventions and corrective surgery at the hospital, which now had now geared up to handle such cases.
While Dr Nathadwarawala and Dr Parvinder Singh of the hospital were present for the camp, Dr Geeta Modi and Dr Satish Pandya represented Academy and Dr S Rajan, Dr Maully Shah and Dr Shashank Shah, the Mission.
