Gujral calls for strict vigil on govt officials

NEW DELHI, December 16: Former PM I.K. Gujral today exhorted voluntary organisations to keep a strict vigil on the activities of ``irresponsible government officials'' help generate mass awakening against them.The move would force these officials to mend their ways, he said addressing a national convention on `Socio-economic challenges and role of voluntary organisations', organised by the National Forum of Voluntary Organisations. Former chairperson of the National Commission for Women Mohini Giri, veteran freedom fighter S.P. Ovil, media personality P.K.
