Kidnapping bid in Surat
Surat: Four unidentified people made an unsuccessful bid to kidnap a 10-year-old girl on Tuesday evening, the Kapodara police said. One Mansukh Patel, a resident of Nana Varachha, complained to the Kapodara police that on Tuesday night, four people forced his daughter Pinal to get into an autorickshaw outside N G Patel School and were about to drive off when she raised an alarm. The accused then dropped her and fled. The Kapodara police have registered a case and are investigating. No arrests have been made as yet.Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
