Football trials
The Delhi Soccer Association will hold open trials-cum-coaching camp to select under-19 team for participation in the Junior Nationals for B C Roy Trophy at Imphal next month. Interested players should report to N K Bhatia (jt secretary) or Abdul Aziz (committee member) along with their original birth certificates on Friday at 3.30 pm at Ambedkar Stadium for registration of names.

Women kabbadi
Mata Sundri College triumphed over Bhartya Mahila College 52-17 in the inaugural match of the third inter-college women's kabbadi tournament at Mata Sundri College. In other matches, Daulat Ram College defeated Vivekanand College 65-58, Vivekanand College outwitted Mata Sundri College 70-50 while Daulat Ram College crushed Bhartya Mahila College 60-4. Ranjit Kasur (Mata Sundri), Charanjit (Vivekanand) and Sarita (Daulat Ram) were the top scorers for their respective teams. Final will be played tomorrow at 2.30 pm.

Amit deadly
Excellent bowling by Amit (4 for 13) helped Madhyam beat Percept by 74 runs in the Media Transasia Cup at Gargi College. Sriniketh (61) was the top scorer for the winners while Umesh (26) contributed for the losers.

Brief Scores: Madhyam: 185 for 7 (Sriniketh 61, Harjender 24 not out, Roham 2 for 32, Suriender 2 for 2 for 43). Percept: 111 (Sanjay Kakkar 23, Umesh 26, Amit 4 for 13, Harjinder 3 for 22. RK Swamy: 145 (Arjun 40, Sandeep 27, Gautam 3 for 34). O&M: 122 for 6 (Sudhir 35, Manasavi 20, Sujoy 2 for 19).

DDA games
Sunita and Lakshmi won in the semifinal of ladies singles table tennis event of DDA indoor games at Vikas Sadan. Sunita beat Nandita 21-11, 21-11 while Lakshmi defeated Pritam Kaur 21-13, 21-12. Though Sunita had more or less an easy outing, Lakshmi faced some stiff resistance from her opponent.

Skating national
Roller hockey national champion Chandu Skating Club overwhelmed Jagdeep Singh Club 6-3 while Bhatnagar International School crushed Uttar Pradesh 10-0 in the 18th super national skating championship at JD Tytler School.
