MUMBAI, DEC 18: Hosts PJ Hindu Gymkhana A and MIG Cricket Club took the men's and women's title at the Yonex-sponsored Inter-club badminton tournament.The hosts clinched the Motiram Cup while MIG claimed the Anant V Ullal Cup. The under-16 title went to Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana.

Andrew's, Khalsa A winSt Andrew's and Khalsa A won the men's and women's titles in the St Andrew's Invitational hockey championship at the Andrew's School ground, Bandra.
Sanjay Fernandes scored the only goal in the 20th minute in St Andrew's 1-0 win over RKT in the men's final.
Akshaya Shetty (29th minute), Niji John (41st), Melanie D'Souza (43rd) were the scorers for Khalsa A in their 3-0 rout over Khalsa B.
Mumbai in final
IIT Mumbai beat IIT Madras 1-0 in the semi-final of the 34th Inter IIT football tournament at the IIT ground, Powai.
In the other semi-final, IIT Delhi beat IIT Kharagpur by an identical margin. Mumbai and Delhi meet in the final on Saturday.
The Mumbai match-winner was scored by P Chaitanya, who made the most of a pass from Kuhmara Ravinder in the 50thminute. Delhi's winning goal was netted by Kanwartej Singh Sr off a pass by R Vijay Chandilya.
BPT drub Sea View
Bombay Port Trust (BPT) drubbed Sea View 7-0 in the Gulf Oil WIFA First Division football match at Cooperage.
Newton Leitao scored three goals while Nasir Ansari had a brace. Rizwan Ansari and Sijin Shankarar scored a goal apiece.
Sapna, Mahmuni outstanding
Sapna D'Souza and Ravindra Mahamuni of Nagindas Khandwala, College of Commerce and Arts, won the outstanding sportsmen awards for 1996-97 for men and women respectively in the Inter-collegiate tournaments conducted by the University of Mumbai.
Nagindas College won the overall championship for men for the third consecutive year.
Rehmutullah champ
Mohmmed Rehmutullah and Yasmin Iyer won the singles of Airfreight Sports Club inter-division individual carrom tournament organised by the Airfreight and Maharashtra Carrom Association.
Rehmutullah defeated Chandrakant Bhopate 2-0 while Iyer got past Dora Martis with thesame score. The men's doubles was won by Nandu Ghole and Sandeep Tupat while Yasmin Iyer with Dora Martis won the women's doubles.
