Son's appeal to Rights panel

UNA, Dec 18: Pervinder Raizada of village Malahat of Una district has appealed to the Human Rights Commission to get his father released from the clutches of the workers union of JK Leatherites Ltd of Baddi Industrial area complex. The father, J. R. Raizada, who is a retired inspector of the BSP was employed by the JK Leatherites Mehatpur and later transferred to their Baddi complex as security officer.

The factory has been closed for the last one month and the owner, along with the management staff, have fled leaving the security officer along with two guards. The workers aredemanding their salaries. Pervinder had approached the local police, but no action has so far been taken by the authorities. Meanwhile the family of the security officer say that J. R. Raizada was suffering from chest pain. And have requested the police authorities to intervene and release their kin to freedom.
