BKU asks Tohra to quit

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
LUDHIANA, Dec 18: The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has asked the SGPC President Gurcharn Singh Tohra to quit while charging him with an autocratic style of working.

The Bharatiya Kisan Union General Secretary Manjit Singh Qadian said in a statement here today that Tohra, who was more a politician than a religious leader, should resign from the presidentship of SGPC and being a member of the Rajya Sabha, should concentrate on raising genuine demands of Punjab in the parliament.

He further oberved that if Tohra fails to make way for some other deserving person as head of the SGPC, he would be isolated and would also suffer from credibility.
