MUMBAI, Dec 20: MIG Cricket Club will meet Shivaji Park Gymkhana (SPG) in the final of the Purshottam Shield cricket tournament. MIG defeated hosts P J Hindu Gymkhana by six wickes, while SPG trounced Parsee Gymkhana by ten wickets, today.An unbroken 147-run partnership for the first wicket between left-hander Manoj Joglekar and Amit Pagnis coasted SPG to a ten wickets win in just 28 overs.
Joglekar's knock of 82 was studded with 12x4 off 96 balls, while Pagnis had 5x4 in his 57 off 74 balls.
Earlier, Parsee Gymkhana were dismissed for 144 in 49.5 overs. Medium pacers Rupam Malviya, Venkat Mudaliyar and off-spinner Bhimesh Shah took three wickets each.
Hindu Gymkhana did well to score 170 in 54.2 overs. Thanks to Saket Adhikari (47, 6x4) and Deep Jaywant (43, 2x6, 2x4).
