Rebels triumph
Rebels beat Vasai Eskimos B 3-1 in Pool B of the BHA Third Division hockey league, sponsored by Punjab National Bank, at the Naigaum Police ground, today.

George Esteeves, Ryan Vessaokar and Harold Rodricks scored for Rebels. Vinod Madhukar reduced the margin.

In the other match of the same competittion, Golden 20 rallied to hold Village Amboli B 2-2.

Bosco Pereira and Cyrus Krishna netted for Amboli and Samir Paes and C A Carneiro accounted forGolden 20.

There will be no games at this venue on Monday.

Schools handball

The Inter-School handball tournament for boys and girls (seniors and juniors) will be held from January 18 to 22, 1999, at the MSSA-Castrol Schools Sports Centre, Azad maidan.

The last date for entries is January 8 at 6.00 p.m.
