VADODARA, Dec 20:: Mirinda...... said the three masked men after a sip of Mirinda.Though most of you must have seen the three many times in the television commercial, for children of the St Kabir school, it was a different experience, for the three actually shook hands with them at the St Kabir Utsav, held at the Atma Jyoti Ashram ground on Saturday.
The three masked men with their face and hands in orange and dressed all in black, not only shook hands with the children but gave away surprise gifts to those wearing orange clothes. Some were even lucky to be called on the stage and take a sip from the Mirinda bottle given by the three.
The masked men moved around in all the 40 stalls, of eatables and games, set up at the Utsav, waving and shaking hands.
While the utsav began with a drawing competition, a magic show, a monkey conversing with children and merry-go rounds were the other attractions of the utsav. Students of the Convent of Jesus and Mary school also danced to the tune of songs from the film Dil to Pagal Hai.
The monkey asked the children their names, their favourite songs and also sang their favourite songs. The utsav had games for children's parents also. While parents played the Tambola, there were prizes for those who could apply make-up to a poster of Madhuri Dixit in five minutes.
