NEW DELHI, December 20: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) proposes to offer free transmission to cable operators all over the country for conducting live telecounselling session for its students from January 1.Vice-Chancellor Prof Abdul Waheed Khan has appealed to cable operators to avail this offer on a trial basis for at least six months in their area to check out the client's response themselves.
All necessary technical expertise will be provided by IGNOU. For details, the cable operators of their representative can call Dr R Sreedher, Director, Electronic Media Production Centre at IGNOU.
The open university is conducting regular live tele-counselling sessions for students of various courses such as management, computers, nursing and so on.
