SURAT, Dec 24: The city Detection of Crime Branch, supported by a special team of police officials headed by Inspector-General of Police (CID) H R Gehlot, are yet to make any arrests in the Nita Satbhaya murder case although ``a thorough investigation of the case is underway'', DCB PI M G Kaneriya said on Thursday evening.Police Commissioner Kuldip Sharma, who took charge on Thursday, however, told reporters at the commissionerate that he would spend the entire Friday getting acquainted with the case.
According to sources, one Altaf Hussain has been picked up by the DCB from Ugat village on the outskirts of the city for interrogation. The arrest, however, has not been confirmed by the DCB as yet.
The police maintained that they had been working vigorously on the theories that may have led to the councillor's murder.
