Hopes of white Christmas dashed

SHIMLA, Dec 24: While hotels have been decorated and tourists continue to pour into this hill town hoping for a white christmas, the unusually bright and sunny weather has dampened their spirits and upset their plans.It is the city's second christmas without snow. ``We had come here to see the snowfall but it is missing'' say Ajay and his wife, a newly-wed couple from Jammu. The churches in the town have also been tastefully decorated and despite everything, the festivities are in full swing.The perceptible decrease in the number of people thronging the city has however left the hotliers scepticle about their business profits.
