Gold bangles stolen
The Rander police have registered a case against two unidentified persons, who posing as police officers, stole two gold bangles and a gold mangalsutra worth Rs 20,000 from one Chandrika Dikshit on Monday morning. Dikshit, a resident of Ahuranagar near Bhulka Bhawan School, in a complaint with the Rander police stated on Monday that she was intercepted by two plain clothed persons speaking Hindi and between 30 and 35 on the main road who said that they were police officials. They told her that intensive checking of vehicles was on and that she should keep her ornaments in her purse. They then took the purse for checking and returned it to her, leaving afterwards. Later, when the woman opened her purse, she found the valuables missing. A case under sections 379, 114 and 467 of the IPC has been registered and PSI C F Gohil is investigating the case.

House-breaking
Two cases of house-breaking by night were registered in separate police stations of the city on Monday. In the first case in the Chowk Bazaar police station, unidentified persons entered the Shrinathji Apartments in the Nanavat area and decamped with goods that have not been identified as yet. Ketan Chandrakant, who owns an office adjacent to the house, complained to the police that the persons first broke into his office and then one Savitaben Shah's locked house. In the second case registered by Jaysukh Prajapati at the Katargam police station, unidentified persons broke into his diamond workshop at Morar Ni Wadi in the night and decamped with diamonds worth Rs 20,700.

Vehicle theft
A Rajdoot Motorcycle (DD 03 5722) parked at the Chowpatty area of the city was stolen on Sunday evening, according to a case registered in the Umra police station. Vehicle owner Bhikhu Baraiya stated in the complaint that he had parked his motorcycle in the Chowpatty parking lot and returned to find it missing.
