Man killed in Saraswati Vihar
An employee in a cable factory was stabbed to death in Saraswati Vihar on Sunday night. Radhe Arora -- a resident of Rishi Nagar in Rani Bagh -- got into an argument with three men at around 7 p.m. At that time Radhe was sitting in a park with his friends. The three men apparently walked away after the argument. Shortly after, Radhe got up to leave. The three allegedly assaulted him from behind, inflicting injuries on his head. He was rushed to the Jaipur Golden Hospital, but died on the way. The Saraswati Vihar police have registered a case of murder, and claimed on Monday that they have identified the assailants and are looking for them.Help for body identification
No one has come forward to identify the body of a murder victim who was killed in Nangloi in March 1998. The body of the 40/45-year-old male was found in Swarn Park. The only means of possible identification was a tattoo -- Pammi -- in Hindi on the victim's right hand.
Meanwhile, there are still no leads to who killed a 30/32-year-old woman in April 1998. Her body was found near some bushes in Beena Enclave near the Nangloi Railway station. She also has a tattoo: `Kishan' on her left hand.
A third body, that was found in August 1998 in a DDA Park near Bhatia Farm in Vikas Puri, has also not been identified. The body of the 30/35-year-old male was found with injuries on the head, chest and stomach. The Crime Cell of the West District police has sought public help in identifying these bodies.
Cop succumbs to injuries
A Delhi Police head constable who was injured in a road mishap on Sunday night died at JPN Hospital on Monday morning. Posted with the Vivek Vihar police station, head constable Kripal Singh -- a resident of Sonepat, Haryana -- was on a scooter with a friend on Mathura Road. According to the police, the friend suddenly braked somewhere near Ballabgarh, Haryana. The scooter skidded, Singh was thrown off and banged his head on the road. He was first admitted to SDN Hospital by his friend and later shifted to JPN Hospital.
