Delhi back in control

NEW DELHI, December 28: Delhi took an overall lead of 189 with three second innings wickets remaining on the penultimate day of their North Zone Ranji Trophy league match against Jammu and Kashmir at Jammu, according to reports reaching here.

Delhi took a first innings lead of 23 and were 166 for seven in their second essay at the end of the day's play. J-K were shot out for 120 in their first innings in reply to Delhi's 148.

Nikhil Chopra (4) and debutant left-arm spinner Rohit Mehra (2) were the main wicket-takers for Delhi.

In Delhi's second innings, Virender Sehwag contributed 60 runs while Nikhil Chopra is batting on 24. Skipper Vijay Dahiya made 22. Ashwanui Gupta has claimed five wickets for the home team.
