NAGPUR, DEC 29: Maharashtra Chief Minister, Manohar Joshi, today denied surveillance of Shiv Sena MLAs by the police and claimed that the police protection was given to them considering the threat perception.He outrightly denied possible defection by a section of Sena MLAs and described them as ``honest'' MLAs. Addressing a press conference at his Vidhan Bhawan office this evening, Joshi also denied the reported resignation of the Deputy Chief Minister, Gopinath Munde.
``There is no substance in a news item in this regard appearing in a Mumbai Marathi daily today,'' he added.
