GSFC has produced over 14.98 lakh tonnes of fertilisers against the installed capacity of over 11.45 lakh tonnes. The firm produces three types of fertilisers, five types of biofertilisers and distribute them among farming community.

Earlier the GSFC had also bagged the NPC award for the production of biofertilisers and won the FAI award this year for manufacturing the five types of biofertilisers. The plant also lays a lot of emphasis on acceleration and modernisation of agriculture. To promote better agriculture GSFC provides quality seeds to farmers, establishment of green-houses and also the need to have tissue culture in firms.

The company also undertakes activities like demonstration farms, soil testing and other traditional agricultural extension activities to promote productivity in agriculture.
