Councillor raps BJP over murder
Gujarat State Congress delegate and SMC councillor Bhupendra Solanki has criticised the BJP leaders for their ``criminal silence'' and inability of the police to nab the killers of BJP councillor Nita Satbhaya even after 11 days. He has alleged that while the police was groping in the dark, Mayor Savita Sharda and Union Textile Minister Kashiram Rana were busy inaugurating functions. ``It is shameful for the BJP to maintain studied silence on the tardy investigation,'' he said, alleging that the BJP was not agitating because ``it was a political murder and they feared being exposed.'' He threatened that the Congress would launch an agitation if the police failed to arrest the killers within a week.
