Christians angry over toilet site near graveyard

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, December 29: The location of a public toilet complex at Prithviraj Road has sparked off a controversy between Christian organisations and the NDMC. The complex is being constructed in front of the graveyard and the site had been originally earmarked for parking of vehicles of people visiting the graveyard.

Despite several objections and reminders of the fact that there are several sites available in the vicinity, no action has been taken to stop construction and relocate the toilet to a suitable site, J.H. Hala, President of United Christian Action, said. Says B P Mishra, chairman, NDMC,``We are constructing the toilet for those visiting the graveyard. We are constructing a European style toilet as people complain of dirty public toilets''.
